This spring my son's Photography group in 4H made the trip to New Ross Farm Museum for some photo opportunities. It was a rainy day, so the kids got burnt out and cranky fast so it was a quick trip, but if you are in to Heritage, or experiencing things of the Pioneer Days this is a great little place to go!
They do different demos during the day, when we were there they were doing sheep sheering, building apple barrels and the blacksmith was shoeing Oxen, but they also do things like make soup, tools, and candles. The workers all dress in period clothing, and have different stories to tell.
There is lots of great scenery and animals too, so there's really something for everyone to enjoy, so it's well worth making the trip out to visit.
To learn more about New Ross Farm Museum please visit their
website (yea I know, who knew 'pioneers' knew how to run a website ;) all I thought they were for was adding Bass to your music....funny?...yes?...no?... bad pun eh? lol)
